January 19 – Hope and Action

January 19. “Hope is the anchor of the soul, the stimulus to action, and the incentive to achievement.” (Anonymous)

On my blog about my Journey toward better health, I wrote today about how some call this day “Blue Monday”. It is a day when the Holidays are behind us, the weather is bad, and there are bills to pay. You can read about my thoughts on the subject there. Long story short, I am not participating!

Today my heart and my head are full of hope. I made up my mind that I was not going to allow external forces to influence me to feel any differently. Instead, I embraced hope.

As this quote says, hope is anchoring my soul. I know that the weather isn’t great now, but it will be again soon. The days are getting longer, and we are already 1/3 of the way through the season of Winter.

My reflection today is short because I want to get back to action. My reflection is that action is the best way to fan the spark of hope in my life. Today I am about action!
